02Stones and objects go on the wire in any order, as long as you like; any piece can go to the trash. Then Done.
03It floats in the dark, turning slowly. Anyone with the link can hold it and look into every stone.
No. You make it, you get your own link and one to share. People open the shared link and look; nothing to sign up for.
They are made small on your phone first (at most 1024 pixels on their longest side) and kept with the piece. Only the photos set in stones on the cord are sent. A link's key comes after the # in its address, so it never sits in a server's log.
A year from the day it is made. Then its photos and design are erased and its links stop opening it, so save a screenshot of anything you want to keep.
Nothing at present.
Not yet: once the clasp is closed the piece is as it is. Make another any time.
Tender Machine takes cold digital things and makes them nicer. This one started with the photos that live and die on a phone, and gives them the thing people really make for a memory: a stone with the picture inside, strung to be worn.
